Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol, a non-toxic molecule found in the cannabis plant with medicinal and healing properties that contribute to overall health and wellness.

What is CBD Oil?

CBD Oil is extracted from the cannabis plant's flowers and leaves and has been used for millennia worldwide as an organic, natural health remedy.

What are cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are compounds found in all cannabis plants that produce significant benefits for the human body's endocannabinoid system which is charged with maintaining a state of homeostasis, or balance.

How does CBD Work?

CBD molecules extracted from Hemp and other types of cannabis plants are important ingredients that activate the body's endocannabinoid system to promote balance and better health.

What is Hemp and how does it differ from CBD?

Hemp is a form of the cannabis plant that has been used throughout history for practical purposes (for food, clothing, and paper products, for example) and as a source of CBD. Olina Life uses a specific strain of hemp plants that have a natural abundance of cannabinoids (referred to as phytocannabinoid-rich or PCR). The PCR strain contains a higher amount of health-promoting CBD and other cannabinoids than hemp typically used by most CBD producers today. Olina Life's proprietary PCR strain of hemp is a core ingredient in all of our products.

Are Olina Life product safe?

Olina Life products undergo multiple phases of tests to ensure that the ingredients in our products are of the highest quality and free of any pesticides or contaminants. There are no known instances of any illness related to the consumption of CBD.

What's the difference between Hemp and Marijuana?

While Hemp and marijuana are related in that both are forms of the cannabis plant, the similarities end there. Marijuana contains a psychotropic substance known as THC, the molecule responsible for giving users a "high". Hemp produces minimal amounts of THC, which Olina Life specifically removes during its patented extraction process. In other words, our products are THC-free.

What is CBD used for?

Hemp extracts that contain a natural abundance of CBD have been used by global cultures for millennia to return the human body to a state known as "homeostasis" or balance. Its healing properties are essential to the body's ability to regulate core physiological systems including sleep, mood, and pain management.

Do Olina Life products contain THC?

No. Olina Life uses patented technology to remove all traces of THC from our proprietary PCR hemp extract. Further evidence may be found by reviewing the product's lab reports here.

Are there any traces of THC in CBD Oil?

Hemp plants may naturally contain trace amounts of THC, which is why Olina Life goes the extra step with its patented extraction technology to remove the THC, so you don't have to worry!

Are your lab reports available to me?

Yes, thanks to our team of scientists and chemists, lab reports for all product batches are posted at

Will your products actually cure and treat my health condition?

While you may experience clear benefits from incorporating CBD in your health routine, it's always best to seek medical advice from a professional. CBD-oil and Hemp extracts are not approved by the FDA for treating or curing any condition and any evidence on benefits is purely anecdotal at this time.

Your products are "broad spectrum" - what does that mean?

Broad Spectrum is a term that describes CBD products rich in cannabinoids, terpenes and other holistic, natural compounds that are beneficial to our physical functions. Broad Spectrum products also go through an additional process to remove the THC, the cannabinoid which has clear intoxicating effects. Per our ingredient and chemical lab reports, Olina Life products are THC-free, eliminating a mind-altering compound that's found in Full Spectrum cannabis products. If you're concerned about THC in your CBD supplements, look for products containing ONLY Broad Spectrum CBD.
